Freaking Out!!!

It's official - our home visit is scheduled for a week from today!  Holy &$&$&#&$!!!!  Talk about a seat spinning moment today. :)  I wrote our social worker this morning for a little more clarification on the Agency Change that's happening this week and she reassured me it doesn't affect the domestic infant adoption program and all the info is the same from when they first told us during our home study class days.  So that put my mind at ease and then she sprang the well I was going to call you today - I'm almost done with your home study so I'd like to schedule the visit for next week.  My jaw dropped!  I was like oh sure - let me check where Matt's at next week and let you know.  I was hoping it would be later in the week but his routes next week put him mostly out of town - except for Monday.  So there you go.  We work the best under pressure so we've got a week to get the house in shape!  Luckily this isn't a white glove inspection - she's mainly looking for safety issues, we have space for the baby, etc... and then the rest of the time will be our official interview and going over the mountain of paperwork that we completed.

I'll have our profile 99% done by this Friday as we are doing our video Friday night.  We'll spend the weekend working on the house.  The following week we'll edit the video and get that and the profile done so we can get all the copies (need 5 of each).  Then that's it for us!  Our social worker will do the work at that point - get our background checks into the system and complete our home study and we'll be in circulation!  Absolutely un - freaking - real.

Yay for more fluffy mail today too! :)

Until next time...

Yes!!!! This is awesome news!!! And we still need to reschedule our "coffee talk". So your fluffy mail, is that cloth diapers? I'm really curious about cloth diapers...wondering if that's something I'd like or not, one of my cousins did cloth diapers so I was planning to pick her brain about it.

I know - once we get through the home visit let's have a good coffee talk so I can fill you in. :) And yep - we'll be cloth diapering - I can't wait!

Woo-hoo!! I am so excited for you (and Matt too (-:)!! I bought the cheapie AIOs and I loved them, but DH did not. )-: So we compromised. I used the cloth and he used disposables. But she was so little I had to wait until she was bigger to put the small ones on her. If I ever get a chance to do it again, I will buy the more spendy ones and do it right!
